Monini Olio di Oliva was founded in 1929 by Zefferino Monini. The company entered the market with a refined extra virgin olive oil that had never been marketed before. Cold-pressed olive oil was a major innovation for Monini, and so the company marketed the product not only throughout Umbria, but also in Lazio, Marche and Romagna.
